The year 2017 for intergroup: London, take overs, Sardinia and reinforcement in Italian ports


Opening af a new office in the centre of London and beginning of a internationalization strategy. Beginning of the operations in the Sardinian ports of Cagliari and Oristano, following the take over of the brand Global Renewables, and reinforcement in the ports of Savona, Ravenna, Civitavecchia and Gaeta, city in which, back in 1986, intergroup started its operation as a logistic company thanks to the founder Nicola Di Sarno.

Today, mr Di Sarno, has built a new frame in integroup, hiring some new managers and appointing Riccardo Sciolti as director general, a leader with a solid background in logistic and transportaton industry.


In Februaryl 2017, intergroup opened a new office in the British capital, in order to strengthen its presence in international markets and to start new activities in UK and in its ports.

The office is under the supervision of the British manager Paul Blunden, with a long esperience in the commodities.

Sardinia and Global Renewables

Following its goal to become national leader in natural biomass, intergroup – through its brand MyFire leader in Italy in the wood pellet market - has purchased the brands owned by Global Renewables, a company founded in New Zeland and with a strong presence in Sardinia and in northern Italy.


At the and of 2017, the port of Gaeta has an official draught of 10,2 m (33ft 5 in) where the depth is 12 m (39 ft 4 in). In the early future, the official draught might reach 12 m thanks to a 80 million euro investment by "Mar Tirreno" port authority, that includes also works for larger docks and new warehouses.

Logistic and talents

The strengthening of intergroup team goes on with the arrival of new managers like Daniele Palombi, Nazzareno Michelini and Ferdinando De Caro.
