Intergroup is inaugurating a new logistics platform in Apulia. This operation will be a significant milestone in the growth of the group, and will confirm its dynamism and constant search for innovative distribution solutions.

The platform consists of Brindisi’s operational headquarters and a distribution base based in Foggia’s industrial area, the latter extending over a total surface area of 110thousand m² and including 8thousand m² of covered surface and a total storage capacity of 35.000 m³. The complex also boasts its own railway junction, as well as modern packaging machinery for different types of both normal and special packaging, from envelopes weighting 5 grams up to 25-50-kg bags.

Together with the management of the platform, that has been working for some weeks now, intergroup will also deal with distribution logistics from and to Apulia and the national territory. This will complement the distribution logistics solutions the group is already providing across its Tyrrhenian bases, and will contribute to the national optimization of the distribution processes concerning food and further types of goods.

The inauguration of Foggia’s intergroup platform is an integral part of a more comprehensive approach that includes a long-term integrated package for the outsourcing of transportation, logistics and ancillary activities dealing with sugar produced by the largest refinery in Europe (what strengthens the existing partnership with Sfir/Notadolce).
